Order of Elks, the use of the Fifth Regiment Armory building
for the 11th day of July, in the year nineteen hundred and
sixteen, for the purpose of holding and conducting therein
a dance and reception extended to the Governor of Maryland,
the Mayor of the City of Baltimore and the Grand Lodge Of-
ficers and members and visiting elks at the convention of the
Grand Lodge of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks
of the United States of America to be held in the City of Bal-
timore during the week from the 10th to the 14th days of July,
inclusive, in the year nineteen hundred and sixteen.

CHAPTER 285.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections 51,
52, 55, 60, 91, 93 and 95 of Article 48, of the Annotated
Code of Maryland, as legalized by Chapter 21, of the Acts
of 1912, and Chapter 16, of the Acts of 1914, of the General
Assembly of Maryland, title "Inspection, " sub-titles "State
Horticultural Department" and "Agricultural Lime. "
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 51, 52, 55, 60, 91, 93 and 95 of Article 48,
of the Annotated Code of Maryland, as legalized by Chapter 21,
of the Acts of 1912, and Chapter 16, of the Acts of 1914, of
the General Assembly of Maryland, title "Inspection, " sub-
titles "State Horticultural Department" and "Agricultural
Lime, " be and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments to read as follows:
51. The professor of entomology, the professor of vegetable
pathology, and the professor of horticulture of the Maryland
State College of Agriculture and Experiment Station, shall be
the State entomologist, State pathologist and State horticul-
turist, respectively.
52. The said Horticultural Department shall be under the
control of the board of trustees of the Maryland State College
of Agriculture and Experiment Station, to whom the officers
created under this sub-title shall be responsible; the salary of
the State horticulturist, State entomologist and State patholo-
gist shall be fixed by the said board of trustees, and the said
board shall likewise fix the compensation of any assistant, or
assistants, employe or employes, and control all expenses
