have the further rights, privileges and powers particularly
mentioned in this Act.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That at any annual or special
meeting of the members of said corporation of which due notice
has been given, the members actually present shall constitute a
quorum for the transaction of all business that may come before
it. No member shall be permitted to vote by proxy at said
meetings.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That at any stated or special
meeting of the Directors, nine members of the Board shall con-
stitute a quorum for the transaction of all business that may
come before it.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on and from June 1st, nineteen hundred and sixteen.

Approved April 11th, 1916.

CHAPTER 268.

AN ACT to repeal Chapter 435 of the Acts of 1914, adding
nine new sections to Chapter 91 of the Acts of 1904.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter 435 of the Acts of 1914, adding nine new
sections to Chapter 157 of the Acts of 1904, be and the same is
hereby repealed.

Approved April 18th, 1916.

CHAPTER 269.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
517-C of the Revised Charter of Baltimore City.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 517-C of the Revised Charter of Baltimore
City be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, so as to read as follows:

517-C. The Mayor and City Council of Baltimore are further
authorized and empowered to appropriate for the furtherance
