further authorizing the said Mayor and Town Council to
make such further extension to said system from time to
time within the corporate limits of said town as in their
judgment may seem fit and proper; to incur indebtedness
therefor; provide for the time of payment of the debt in-
curred and to pay for the same by a special levy on the
abutting property to said water and sewer mains and on the
assessable property of said Town of Kensington in the same
manner as now levied and collected by said Town of Ken-
sington for redemption of its bonds, and payment of inter-
est thereon, issued and sold for the purpose of installing said
water and sewer system.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Ken-
sington are hereby authorized to borrow a sum not exceeding
Four Thousand Dollars, the amount so borrowed to be used for
the payment of the installation of extensions made to its water
and sewer system, as authorized and directed by the State
Board of Health of Maryland and approved by the Governor
and the Attorney-General of Maryland on October 5, 1914, pur-
suant to Section No. 9 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1914, and to issue certificates of indebtedness
therefor, bearing interest at not more than six per cent, per
annum, said certificates to be redeemable in such manner as
the Mayor and Town Council may determine at the time of the
issuance of the same, provided, however, that all of said certifi-
cates issued by virtue of the provisions of this Act shall be re-
deemed and fully paid within ten years after date of issuance
thereof.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That for the purpose of
payment of said certificates and the interest thereon, issued by
virtue of the premises hereof, the said Mayor and Town Council
are hereby authorized and directed to annually assess and levy
as a tax, and collect the same, the cost of the annual redemp-
tion of said certificates, and the interest as due, upon the abut-
ting property served by said water and sewer mains, or either
of them, in said town, and upon the assessable property thereof
for corporate purposes, in the same manner and in the same
proportion as set out and provided in the Water and Sewer
Enabling Act for the Town of Kensington, known as Chapter
No. 829 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of
1914, relating to the manner of assessment and collection of
same to pay for the redemption of the bonds, and the payment
