shells by purchase or otherwise necessary for use in the manu-
facture or grinding of lime and do all things necessary to prop-
erly carry out the spirit and intent of this Act.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the said Board shall make
report to the Comptroller of the State Treasury annually of
receipts and expenditures, and any excess over above the ex-
penses, and cost of maintenance of said plants shall be paid
into the Treasury of Maryland.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That said Board is hereby di-
rected to sell the lime produced at said plants only to farmers
within the State of Maryland for Agricultural purposes, for
cash only, and at a price which will enable them to pay all
expenses and cost of maintenance with a small percentage over
and above the expenses and cost of maintenance to enable them
to maintain a sinking fund to reimburse the State (if possible),
for the appropriation hereby made.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the Board hereby created
is authorized and directed to instruct and encourage farmers
all over the State by the distribution of literature through
Farmer's Institutes and etc., in the uses of lime in its various
forms and the benefits to be derived therefrom, and to exert
their good offices in efforts to secure lower freight rates on lime
by the transportation companies throughout the State.

SEC. 7. That all Laws and Clauses of Laws in conflict with
the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.

SEC. 8. That this Act shall be enforced from and after the
first day of June, 1916.

7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 23, 25, 28, 29, 30, 31, 37,
39, 40, 41, 42, 43 and 46 of Article 100 of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Work, Hours of,
in Factories, " sub-title "Employment of Minors, " as enacted
by Chapter 731 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland for 1912, to repeal and re-enact with amendments
Sections 26 and 48 of said Article 100 as repealed and re-
