pay the said Clerk of the Circuit Court for Queen Anne's
County the sum of Five Hundred Dollars for his services
in transcribing said docket entries and judgments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Queen Anne's
County be and he is hereby authorized and empowered to tran-
scribe the docket entries and judgments in all cases now re-
corded in the old appearance dockets of said Court, for the
terms commencing with the January Term of the year eighteen
hundred and eighty, and extending to the November Term of
the year nineteen hundred and five, inclusive, to the books in
the office of said Clerk containing the trial dockets of said
Court, the said docket entries and judgments so transcribed to
be recorded by said Clerk on the unused pages in the back of
said books for the corresponding years entirely separate and
apart from the record of the cases constituting the "trial
docket" now recorded therein, and when so recorded to be des-
ignated and known as the appearance docket of said Court for
said respective terms in precisely the same way as they are now
designated and known on said old appearance dockets. The
said Clerk shall continue to keep on file in his said office
the said old appearance dockets.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the County Commissioners
of Queen Anne's County be and they are hereby empowered
and directed to appropriate for the use of and to pay to the said
Clerk of the Circuit Court for Queen Anne's County the sum
of Five Hundred Dollars ($500. 00) for his services in tran-
scribing the said docket entries and judgments hereinabove in
this Act mentioned.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the first day of June, nineteen hundred and sixteen.

title "Anne Arundel County, " sub-title "Sheriff, " as the
