cient for that purpose, The Mayor and Aldermen of Fred-
erick shall provide for the levy and collection of all taxes
necessary for the payment of the interest on said bonds and
to redeem and pay off said bonds as they mature.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Mayor and Aldermen of Frederick is
hereby authorized and empowered to issue and sell serial cou-
pon bonds of the said Corporation for either or both of the fol-
lowing purposes: First, for the purpose of refunding to certain
citizens of Frederick certain sums of money advanced by them
in pursuance of a motion passed by the Board of Aldermen of
Frederick on the 7th day of June, 1915, providing for the con-
struction of a water main, subsequently laid by The Mayor and
Aldermen of Frederick in pursuance of an Ordinance enacted
and ordained by the Corporation of Frederick on the 14th day
of June, 1915, and to pay all additional costs and expenses
incurred by the Corporation of Frederick in the laying of said
water main; Second, for the purpose of bonding the floating
indebtedness of the Corporation of Frederick.
2. Be it enacted, That the bonds hereby authorized
to be issued by the Corporation of Frederick, for the purpose
of refunding to certain citizens of Frederick certain sums
of money advanced by them in pursuance of a motion passed
by the Board of Aldermen of Frederick on the 7th day of June,
1915, providing for the construction of a water main, subse-
quently laid by The Mayor and Aldermen of Frederick in pur-
suance of an Ordinance enacted and ordained by the Corpora-
tion of Frederick on the 14th day of June, 1915, and to pay
all additional costs and expenses incurred by the Corporation
of Frederick in the laying of said water main, shall be issued
for a sum of money not exceeding Twenty Thousand Dollars
($20, 000. 00), and the proceeds derived from the sale of said
bonds shall be applied to reimburse said citizens for the prin-
cipal of the amounts advanced by them and all interest due
thereon from the time said advancements were made, and to
pay all additional costs and expenses incurred by said Corpo-
ration of Frederick in the laying of said water main, and for
no other use or purpose whatsoever.
SEC. 3. Be it enacted, That the bonds hereby authorized
to be issued by the Corporation of Frederick for the purpose
of bonding the floating indebtedness of said Corporation, shall
be issued for a sum of money not exceeding Twenty Thousand
