of, and at a meeting of the Board of Directors a majority of
the same shall consider such sale expedient and the price a
proper one, the president is hereby empowered and authorized
to convey by deed the turnpike road, or any portion thereof,
together with such rights, privileges and franchises as shall
relate to said turnpike road, or portion thereof; and the duty
to maintain said turnpike road or portion thereof, shall from
and after such transfer be upon the purchaser thereof who
shall maintain the same in accordance with the provisions of
the franchises or as provided by law.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from June 1, 1916.

CHAPTER 130.

AN ACT to amend the Charter of the Baltimore Chamber of
Commerce by providing for classification and regulation of
its membership.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Baltimore Chamber of Commerce, hereto-
fore incorporated by the General Assembly of Maryland by
Chapter 83 of the Acts passed at the January session of 1865,
as amended by Chapter 136 of the Acts passed at the January
session of 1870, and as further amended by Chapter 335 of the
Acts passed at the January session of 1884, and as further
amended by Chapter 90 of the Acts passed at the January
session of 1896, in addition to the powers possessed by it
under the general laws of this State and under the said Acts
of Assembly, shall have the further powers hereinafter given.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the members of
said corporation shall be divided into two classes to be known
and designated respectively as resident members and non-resi-
dent members.

Said corporation shall have the power to prescribe and es-
tablish by such by-laws as it may see fit to adopt, qualifica-
tions for the classification of its members, as aforesaid, and to
define, regulate and prescribe the nature, character and extent
of the rights and privileges of members of each class respec-
