be issued in series and to bear interest not exceeding five per
centum per annum, payable semi-annually. All of which bonds
shall be exempt from County and municipal taxes; and for the
purpose of paying such bonds and the interest thereon as the
same mature, said County Commissioners are hereby directed
to levy in each and every year upon the assessable property in
said County, to be collected as other taxes are now collected or
as may be directed by any general or special laws, for the col-
lection of County taxes, such sum as shall be sufficient to pay
the interest on said bonds and also the principal of such bonds
as the same mature, within the fiscal year for which such levy
is made.

CHAPTER 694.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 45-A
as enacted by Chapter 694 of the Acts of 1912, of Article
10, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Dorchester
County, " sub-title "Cambridge. "

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 45-A, as enacted by Chapter 694, of the Acts
of 1912, of Article 10, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Dorchester County, " sub-title "Cambridge, " be and the same
are hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

45-A. The Commissioners of Cambridge may cause to be
made, in any year, a general registration of the legal voters in
each of the several wards of this city, the qualifications of such
voters to be such as are now prescribed by the constitution and
laws of this State and of this Article, such registration shall
be essential to the right to vote at any election, held under this
Article, or under any of the provisions of any Act of the Gen-
eral Assembly, submitting any proposition or question to the
decision of the voters of the City of Cambridge. In order to
effect such general registration, the commissioners of Cam-
bridge, shall, on or before the first day of May in every year
in which a general registration is held appoint two persons from
each ward, of different political faith, to act as officers of reg-
istration in their respective wards, who shall sit on two consecu-
tive days, viz: the first Tuesday and first Wednesday in May,
and also on the first Wednesday and the first Thursday in July,
