CHAPTER 96.

AN ACT to protect Quail, Partridges and Bob-white within
the limits of Frederick County, Maryland, until the tenth
day of November, 1921.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That no person shall shoot, trap, catch or kill, or
gun or hunt for, any Quail, Partridge or Bob-white within the
limits of Frederick County, Maryland, at any time between the
first day of June, 1916 and the tenth day of November, 1921.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That it shall be unlaw-
ful for any person to have in his possession or offer for sale or
expose for sale within the limits of Frederick County, Mary-
land, any Quail, Partridge or Bob-white at any time between
the first day of June, 1916 and the tenth day of November,
1921.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted. That any person or per-
sons convicted by any Justice of the Peace for the said county
for violating the preceding Sections of this Act shall be fined
not less than Twenty-five Dollars nor more than One Hundred
Dollars and costs for each and every offense. And any Deputy
Game Warden, Constable, or other person, who shall procure
the conviction of any person or persons violating the provisions
of the preceding Sections, shall receive one-half of the fine col-
lected, and the remaining one-half of the fine so collected shall
be paid over to the State Treasurer to be credited to the account
of the State Game Protection Fund.

Provided that any person or persons who fail to pay any fine
so imposed shall be committed to the County Jail for not less
than twenty-five days nor more than sixty days.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That nothing in this
Act shall be so construed as to prohibit the raising or breeding
of Quail, Partridges or Bob-white within the limits of Fred-
erick County, Maryland, or the free shipment of the same for
raising or breeding purposes.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts of
Acts, general or local, inconsistent with the provisions of this
Act, be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict with the provisions of this Act.

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of June, 1916.
