work, printing, and distributing publications, boys' and girls'
club work, movable schools, travel and supplies, as necessitated
by the United States Smith-Lever Act, in order to make certain
appropriations therein contained available from the United
States Congressional appropriations, the sum of fourteen thou-
sand two hundred and three dollars; twenty-three thousand dol-
lars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, for salaries for
County Demonstrators, not more than one thousand dollars to
be used in any one County; in the case of any County not em-
ploying a County Demonstrator, the money shall revert
to the State Treasury; for executive and office expenses
and for expenses for printing, correspondence courses, and
the employment of specialists and for conducting exten-
sion work that cannot be done under the United States Acts of
appropriations, the sum of five thousand dollars; for the mainte-
nance of the Department of Farmers' Institutes, the sum of
six thousand dollars; to the Board of Trustees of the Maryland
Agricultural College, for the purpose of carrying out the pro-
visions of Article 58 of the Annotated Code of Public General
Laws of Maryland, as amended by the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1916, title "LIVE STOCK", the sum of twenty-five
thousand dollars; for the support of a State Biological Labora-
tory, and the manufacture and distribution of hog cholera
serum, and for such other work as may be necessary to circum-
scribe and suppress this and other diseases, as provided for in
Chapter 842 of the Acts of 1912, the sum of five thousand
dollars; for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of Chap-
ter 424 of the Acts of 1914, providing for the inspection of farm
seeds, the sum of five thousand dollars; for the purpose of
carrying out the provisions of Article 48 of the Annotated Code
of Public General Laws of Maryland, as amended by the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1916, title "INSPEC-
TION", sub-title, "STATE HORTICULTURAL DEPART-
MENT", and for the further purpose of carrying out Sections
74-A, 74-B, 74-C, 74-D, 74-E. 74-F, 74-G, 74-H and 74-I of said
Article, relating to the encouragement of agriculture, the sum
of eight thousand dollars; for paying the salaries of officers,
assistants and clerks, and for defraying the expenses of travel,
office rent, and for the purchase of necessary office supplies and
furniture, the sum of five thousand dollars; and, for deficiency
in interest, the sum of two thousand forty-seven dollars and
forty-four cents;
For Court costs due by the State in the trial of thirty-eight
oyster condemnation cases, under Section 96-C of Article 72 of
the Annotated Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, at
the October, 1915, Term of the Circuit Court for Somerset
County the sum of thirteen hundred and nine dollars and
sixty-nine cents; for court costs due by the State in the trial of
