ever in his judgment said inmates, by reason of sickness oi
otherwise, may require such attention.
456. It shall be the duty of the county commissioners to
levy annually upon the assessable property of said county, a
sum of money not exceeding one hundred dollars, to carry
into effect the provisions of the preceding section.
457. The board of visitors for the almshouse to be ap-
pointed annually by the Circuit Court for Harford County, as
provided in Section 73 of this Article, shall also constitute a
board of visitors for the county jail of said county, and shall
visit and examine quarterly the said jail in the same manner
as provided in said section; they shall visit and examine the
county almshouse, and they shall after each visit, in like man-
ner, report the result of said visit to the Board of County
Commissioners for Harford County, together with any recom-
mendations they may see fit to make, and it shall be the duty of
the sheriff of said county to facilitate them in their examina-
tion and investigation.
STATE'S ATTORNEY.
458. The State's Attorney of Harford County shall receive
an annual salary of fifteen hundred dollars, to be paid him
by the County Commissioners of said county, in quarterly
instalments from the first Monday in January, nineteen hun-
dred and two, the same to be levied by the County Commis-
sioners for the use of the State's Attorney as aforesaid.
TOMATOES.
459. The legal weight cf tomatoes in Harford County shall
be sixty-two pounds to the bushel, and in all cases where either
the buyer or seller of tomatoes so desires it, they shall be sold
by such weight.
TAXES AND COUNTY TREASURER.
460. The Treasurer of Harford County now in office shall
hold his office until the first day of May, 1914, and unless he
shall die or otherwise vacate his office, his successor shall be
elected at the general election in 1913.
461. The Treasurer of Harford County shall be a resident
and qualified voter of said county, and not less than twenty-
five years of age on the date of his election; he shall be elected
at the general election held in said county, and shall hold his
office for a term of four years from the first day of May next
succeeding the date of his election.
