ceeding five per centum per annum, payable semi-annually,
and the faith and assessable property of the said town are
hereby pledged for the payment and redemption of the prin-
cipal and interest of said bonds. Said bonds shall be of denom-
ination to be determined by the Board of Commissioners, and
shall be signed by the President of the said Commissioners,
sealed with the seal of said corporation and attested.

289D. Before the said bonds shall be issued for any of the
purposes aforesaid, the said "Commissioners of Rising Sun"
shall first submit said proposition to bond said town to the
vote of the legally qualified voters and taxpayers of said town,
to be held on some date to be fixed by them not earlier than
one month from the date of the passage of this Act, and not
later than six months from the passage thereof; and if at said
election a majority of the votes cast at said election shall ap-
prove of the issue of said bonds for the purposes aforesaid,
then the said "The Commissioners of Rising Sun" shall issue
said bonds, in the way and manner, and for the purposes here-
inbefore provided; and should a majority of said qualified
voters and taxpayers decide at said election against the issu-
ing of said bonds, then this Act is hereby repealed. And the
said "The Commissioners of Rising Sun" are hereby fully au-
thorized to pass all necessary ordinances and to make neces-
sary appointments for the purposes of holding said election and
ascertaining the true result.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That this Act shall take effect
June 1st, 1916.

CHAPTER 94.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Mayor and Common
Council of Mount Rainier, with the approval of the quali-
fied voters of the town of Mount Rainier, Prince George's
County, Maryland, to establish, construct and maintain a
water and sewerage system for said town, to issue and sell
the bonds of said town to an amount not exceeding One
Hundred thousand ($100, 000) Dollars to pay for the same,
and to provide for the redemption and payment of said
bonds and the interest thereon by an annual front-foot as-
sessment on the real property in said town abutting on the
