license for the sale of spirituous or fermented liquors in said
City, shall display such license to conspicuous view in the room
or locality where he proposes to sell, so as to be easily read.
And no such person shall sell any such liquors at any place in
said City other than upon the premises named in said appli-
cant's written affidavit; and no such license shall authorize
sales by any person who shall neglect the requirements or vio-
late the provisions of this section.

Section 367. Any person buying spirituous or fermented
liquors, or intoxicating drink of any kind, without first ascer-
taining that the person selling such has a license to sell the
same, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction
thereof before any Justice of the Peace of Harford County,
shall pay a fine of not less than five dollars nor more than ten
dollars; provided, however, that any person who shall be used
as a witness to convict any one selling without license, shall be
relieved from said fine, and no testimony given by him shall be
used to incriminate him in any other proceeding.

Section 368. No license for the sale of spirituous or fer-
mented liquors shall be granted to any female, or to any person
under the age of twenty-one years; nor shall any person li-
censed under this sub-title of this article employ any female
or minor as a bartender, agent or clerk, to sell, give or deliver
spirituous or fermented liquors, or intoxicating drinks of any
kind or description, to purchasers or others, at his place of
business.

Section 369. Any person licensed under this sub-title of
the article, and so employing any female or minor as set forth
in the preceding Section, shall, upon indictment and conviction
thereof, be fined not less than fifty dollars nor more than three
hundred dollars, or be imprisoned in the county jail for not less
than thirty days nor more than three months, and the license
of such person may be suppressed in the discretion of the
Court.

Section 370. It shall not be lawful for any person having
license to sell spirituous or fermented liquors in said City to
permit any game of chance or skill, for profit or amusement,
to be played in the bar-room or other public room on the prem-
ises occupied by him or under his control.

Section 371. Any person who shall violate the provisions
of the preceding Section shall, upon indictment and conviction
thereof, be fined not less than twenty-five dollars nor more than
fifty dollars for each offense.
