CHAPTER 660.
AN ACT to authorize the Governor to commission the mem-
bers of the Faculty of St John's College, as officers in the
Maryland National Guard.
WHEREAS, It may become desirable to have St. John's Col-
lege assist in training officers for an increased Military Estab-
lishment in the United States, and, in that event it would be
advantageous to have the Faculty of said College commissioned
as officers in the Maryland National Guard; therefore,
SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Governor of this State, upon the request in writ-
ing of the Board of Visitors and Governors of St. John's College,
is hereby authorized to commission the Faculty of St. John's
College as officers in the Maryland National Guard, to serve with-
out pay or compensation of any kind except such salary as may
be paid by St. John's College.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the members of the Faculty
shall be commissioned as follows: The President of the College
as Colonel, those members of the Faculty who have served in the
same over ten years, as Majors, and other members of the Faculty
as Captains, and that the Faculty when so commissioned shall
be detailed to duty at St. John's College, and shall be exempt
from all other duty in the Maryland National Guard; and the
members of the Faculty of said College, when so commissioned
shall wear the uniform of their rank in the Maryland National
Guard at such times as may be determined by the Board of
Visitors and Governors of St. John's College.

CHAPTER 661.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments, Sections 1,
3, 6, 9, 10, 11, 14, 17, 21 and 27 of Article 2, of the Code
of Public Local Laws, title "Anne Arundel County, " sub-
title "Almshouse" as amended by Chapter 166, Acts of 1892
and by Chapter 445, Acts of 1894, the sub-title of which
was changed by Chapter 32? Acts of 1906 to "Anne Arundel
County Home"; and to add an additional Section to said
Article to be known as Section 27-A.
