EMERSON C. HARRINGTON, GOVERNOR. 1315

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all acts or parts of acts
that may be inconsistent with the provisions of this Act be
and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such incon-
sistency.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from June 1, 1916.

Approved April 18th; 1916.

CHAPTER 632.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 1, 6, 40, 52, 53 and 54 of Article
56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Licenses, "
sub-titles "Modes of Issuing — General Provisions" and
"Traders, " and to re-enact the same with amendments; and
to add nine additional Sections to said Article 56, the same
to- follow immediately after Section 52, sub-title "Traders, "
and to be known respectively as Sections 52-A, 52-B, 52-C,
52-D, 52-E, 52-F, 52-G, 52-H and 52-1, and to repeal Sec-
tion 63 of Article 17 of said Code, title "Clerks of Courts, "
sub-title "Clerks of Circuit Courts. "

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 1, 6, 40, 52, 53 and 54 of Article 56 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Licenses, " sub-titles
"Mode of Issuing — General Provisions, " and "Traders; " be
and the same hereby are respectively repealed and re-enacted
with amendments; and nine additional Sections be and the same
hereby are added to said Article 56 of said Code, the same to
follow immediately after Section 52 thereof, and to be known
respectively as Sections 52-A, 52-B, 52-C, 52-D, 52-B, 52-F,
52-G, 52-H and 52-1, and that Section 63 of Article 17 of said
Code, title "Clerks of Courts, " sub-title "Clerks of Circuit
Courts, " be and the same hereby is repealed; said Sections as
re-enacted and said additional Sections to read as follows:

1. All licenses for selling goods and chattels shall be granted
by the Clerks of the Circuit Courts for the Coun-ties and the
Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas in the City of Baltimore,
except where a different mode is especially provided, but they
are hereby expressly forbidden to date any such license other
than the first day of May in each and every year, except when
the trader engages in business in any other month subsequent
