aliened, sold, transferred or encumbered by said corporation
at its pleasure..

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That The Woodstock
College of Baltimore County, shall have the continuing power
to admit students of said college and other persons who shall
merit the distinction, whether such persons be students of such
college or not, to such degree or degrees in course or honorary,
as the college may see fit to award, and to confer the degree
of Doctor of Laws, or of Bachelor or Master of Arts, or of
sciences, or Doctor of Philosophy, and to confer any degree
or degrees in any of the faculties, arts, sciences and liberal
professions, and any other degree or degrees connected with or
growing out of the studies pursued at the said college and to
issue in an appropriate form, diplomas or certificates to the
persons entitled thereto.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the General As-
sembly reserves the right to alter, amend or repeal this Act or
any part thereof at pleasure.

CHAPTER 80.

AN ACT to repeal Section 12 of the Acts of 1898, Chapter 99,
Public Local Laws, entitled "Washington County, " sub-
titled "Sharpsburg, " and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 12 of the Acts of 1898, Chapter 99,
Public Local Laws, entitled "Washington County, " sub-titled
"Sharpsburg, " be and the same is hereby repealed and re-
enacted so as to read as follows:

Section 12. All property within the taxable limits of
Sharpsburg shall be taxed for municipal purposes, except such
property as is exempt from taxation under the laws of Mary-
land; and the assessment for town purposes shall be the same
as that for State and County purposes; and the rate of taxation
shall not exceed eighty cents on every hundred dollars'
worth of assessed property. The Tax Collector shall keep an
account of all money collected by him and pay the same to the
Treasurer, who shall keep an accurate account of all money
