this corporation or not, shall have the right to be represented
by one of such officers, or by its agents, and each organization
represented at such meeting shall be entitled to one vote. A
majority of the whole number so represented shall have power
to decide upon the question of sustaining the Fire Insurance
Salvage Corps hereinbefore mentioned, and of fixing the
maximum amount of expenses which shall be incurred there-
for during the fiscal years next to ensue, which amounts
shall in no case exceed two per centum on the aggregate
premiums returned as received, as provided in section six
of this act, and the whole of such amounts, or so much thereof
as may be necessary, may be assessed upon the organizations
belonging to this corporation, and upon all other organizations
and agencies as hereinbefore mentioned, in proportion to the
several amounts of premiums returned as received by each, as
hereinafter provided; and such assessments shall be collected
by this corporation in any of the courts of law in the city of
Baltimore having jurisdiction, or before any justice of the
peace in said city of Baltimore, should the amount be too small
to give a court of law jurisdiction.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, that this Act shall take
effect from June 1, 1916.

CHAPTER 78.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 140, 143, 150, 152, 154, 155 and
161 of Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Dorchester County, " sub-title "East New
Market, " and to re-enact the same with amendments, and
to add an additional Section to said Article 10, to be desig-
nated 162D, providing for the issue by said town of East
New Market of bonds to an amount not exceeding five thou-
sand dollars, for the purpose of completing the water works
heretofore installed therein.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 140, 143, 150, 152, 154, 155 and
161 of Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Dorchester County, " sub-title "East New Market, ", be and the
same are hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments,
and that a new section be added to said Article 10 to be desig-
