State School for the Deaf, and by that name shall have per
petual succession, may sue and be sued in any Court of this
State, may have and use a common seal, and may at their pleas-
ure, alter and change the same, und may purchase, hold and
receive, sell, demise or dispose of any property, real, personal
or mixed, as they shall judge to be most beneficial and ad-
vantageous to the good and charitable ends and purposes of
the institution, and may receive donations and legacies of per-
sonal estate and money for the promotion of the objects of the
institution.

CHAPTER 77.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 2 and 5 of the Act of 1886, Chapter
No. 113, entitled An Act to incorporate the Fire Insurance
Salvage Corps of Baltimore, as amended by Chapter 'No.
72 of the Acts of 1888, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 2 and 5 of the Act of 1886, Chapter
No. 113, as re-enacted by the Act of 1888, Chapter No. 72, be
and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read

as follows:

Section 2. And be it enacted, That the said corporation
may hold by purchase, devise, or otherwise, real and personal
property for the use of said corporation to an amount not to
exceed $200, 000, and may sell, lease, mortgage and convey
the same or any part thereof, as the Board of Management
may judge to be the most conducive to the interest of this

corporation and the Insurance Company, members of the same,
who have actually paid their respective assessment at its last
due date, subject nevertheless to the Laws of this State.

Section 5. And be it enacted, That in the month of June,
nineteen hundred and sixteen, and in the month of June of

every second year thereafter, there shall be held a meeting of
the corporation hereby created, of which ten days' previous
notice shall be inserted in at least two of. the daily papers pub-
lished in the city of Baltimore, at which meeting each incor-
porated insurance company or association doing business in the

city of Baltimore, whether its officers or agents be members of
