SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 26th, 1916.

CHAPTER 598.

AN ACT to declare the sanction and consent of the General
Assembly of Maryland to sundry gifts, bequests and devises-
contained in the last will and testament of certain persons,
late of the State of Maryland, deceased, and also to certain
gifts, grants, sales, leases and deeds made by various per-
sons in this State to and for the use and benefit of sundry
ministerial persons, religious corporations, denominations
or sects, and to certain charitable institutions.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted 6y the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sanction and consent of the General Assembly
of Maryland, be, and the same are hereby declared, given and
granted to the following gifts, bequests, devises, grants, sales,
leases and deeds to and for the use and benefit of certain minis-
terial persons, religious corporations, denominations or sects,
and to certain charitable institutions as herein set forth.

1. To bequest contained in the last will and testament of
Jacob Castelberg, late of the City of Baltimore, in the State of
Maryland, deceased, of two hundred and fifty dollars ($250. -) to
The Chizuk Emoonah Synagogue of Baltimore City, now lo-
cated on McCulloh Street in said, City, absolutely, to be in-
vested in the Sinking or Memorial Fund of said Institution;
said will being dated November 15, 1909, and recorded in the
office of the Register of Wills of said City in Liber H. W. J.
No. 117 folio 213, etc.

2. To the gift and devise of a certain lot of ground in the
City of Baltimore at the southwest corner of Baker and Monroe
Streets, and described as follows, viz.: BEGINNING for the
same at said southwest corner of Baker and Monroe Streets; and
running thence westerly, with Baker Street, two hundred and
three feet; thence southeasterly two hundred and sixty feet,
more or less, to the west side of Monroe Street; and thence with
Monroe Street northerly two hundred feet to the beginning,
to the Trustees of Caernarvon Methodist Episcopal Church
South of Baltimore, a body corporate, duly incorporated under
the laws of the State of Maryland, by Olivia Warfield, now de-
ceased, by the first codicil of her last will and testament, dated
December 8, 1884, and recorded among the records in the office
