than $50. 00 for each and every such offense, one-half of all fines
so imposed and collected shall be paid to the informer and the
other half to be paid to the Board of County School Commis-
sioners of Anne Arundel County; in the event of the non-pay-
ment of any of the fines imposed under this Act, the person
convicted and against whom the said fines shall be imposed,
shall be committed to the county jail until such fine is paid,
but in no event shall such imprisonment be for more than thirty
days.

SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That a line drawn from the
extreme projection. of Greenbury Point into the Chesapeake
Bay to the extreme point of Horn Point, shall mark the mouth
of the Severn River, and the provisions of this Act shall be in
full force and effect in all the waters of the Severn River and
of all and every creek, cove, tributary and inlet thereof above
the line so drawn.

SEC. 3. Be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts of Acts
which are inconsistent with this Act are hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 582.

AN ACT to authorize the Board of Public Works to comprom-
ise and settle any or all Judgments heretofore rendered in
proceedings for the condemnation of lease-hold interests in
oyster lots or areas, taken under the provisions of Section
96C of Article Y 2 of the Annotated Code of Maryland,
Volume III, title "Oysters, " sub-title "Oyster Culture, "
and in the event of such compromise or compromises making
an appropriation therefor; and also authorizing said Board
of Public Works to abandon any or all of said condemna-
tion proceedings, if, in its opinion, a reasonable compromise
of the judgment or judgments rendered therein cannot be
made.

WHEREAS it is provided by Section 96C of Article 72 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Oysters, " sub-title "Oyster
Culture, " that the rights and interests of lessees under leases
outstanding and in force at the time of the passage of the Act
there codified, covering areas within the limits of natural beds
or bars established by the resurveys^ provided by Section 96A
