CHAPTER 567.
AN ACT to provide for transcribing General Indexes in the
Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Cecil County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Cecil County be,
and he is hereby authorized and required to have transcribed
General Indexes Numbers 4 and 8, of the Land Records of Cecil
County, now worn out and rendered inefficient from continued
use in said office, in new books, well bound, for that purpose.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the compensation for such
service shall be at the rate now allowed by law, and the County
Commissioners of said County are hereby authorized and re-
quired to levy such sum as may be necessary to pay for said
vservice, and for the costs of the books used for said purpose,
unless the receipts from said Clerk's Office shall be enough to
pay for said work after all the office expenses and salaries are
paid, when said work of indexing shall be paid out of the fees
so remaining.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the First day of June, in the year Nineteen Hun-
dred and Sixteen.

CHAPTER 568.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 2 of
Chapter 251 of the Acts of 1910 as codified in the Anno-
tated Civil Code of Maryland as Section 14 of Article 99,
title "Wild Fowl, Birds and Game. "
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 2 of Chapter 251 of the Acts of 1910 as
codified in the Annotated Civil Code of Maryland in Section
14 of Article 99, title "Wild Fowl, Birds and Game, " be and
the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments
so as to read as follows:
14. It shall be unlawful to shoot at or kill any duck, goose,
swan or brant within the limits of the State of Maryland, beT
