School for Feeble-Minded, " the same to follow immediately
after Section 46 thereof, to be known respectively as Sec-
tions 46-A and 46-B, and to provide for the payment for the
maintenance and support of idiotic, imbecile and feeble-
minded persons now committed and hereafter to be com-
mitted to said Maryland Asylum and Training School for
the Feeble-Minded; and to add a new Section to said Article,
to be sub-titled "Liquor and Drugs, " the same to follow im-
mediately after Section 66 thereof, to be known as Section
67, and to prohibit the selling, giving, sending, procuring or
purchasing of spirituous or intoxicating liquor or narcotic
drugs to or for any inmate, patient, attendant or employee
of any State hospital for the insane and of certain other
institutions.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new Section be and the same is hereby added to
Article 59 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Lunatics
and Insane, " sub-title "Lunatic or Insane Paupers, " said Sec-
tion to follow immediately after Section 1 of said Article and
sub-title, to be known as Section 1A, and to read as follows:

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Section 3 of Article
59 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Lunatics and In-
sane, " sub-title "Lunatic or Insane Paupers, " be and the same
hereby is repealed and re-enacted with amendments, so as to
read as follows:

3. No person shall be deemed entitled to the benefit of the
preceding Sections who shall possess or be entitled to receive
sufficient income for his or her maintenance and support as &
patient in any home, retreat or hospital for the insane of this
State, or who has relatives or others legally chargeable with
his or her support, or who are able to pay for the maintenance
and support of the said person as a patient at any home, retreat
or hospital for the insane of this State. The County Commis-
sioners of any County or the Supervisors of City Charities of
the Department of Charities and Corrections of the City of
Baltimore may consent in writing to the commitment in accord-
ance with the provisions of Section 1, of any indigent insane per-
son from the respective Counties or the city aforesaid not able to
pay the whole cost of his or her maintenance, but who may be
able to pay for part thereof, as a reimbursing patient, and des-
ignate the rate per week which shall be reimbursed to the
County or City of Baltimore from which said patient is com-
mitted.
