SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of June, 1916.

CHAPTER 65.
ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 72
of the Code of Local Laws of Prince George's County, title
"Bladensburg, " relating to special assessments for the con-
struction of the foot-ways or sidewalks in said town.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 72 of the Code of Local Laws of
Prince George's County, Maryland, be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted to read as follows:
Section 72. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the President and Commissioners of the Vil-
lage of Bladensburg are authorized to direct, or order, any of
the foot-ways within said village to be laid off, leveled and
graded with such material as to a majority of them may seem
best, and one-half of the expenses of such work and improve-
ment including such curbs and water gutters as may be neces-
sary shall be borne by the owners of the property in front of
which the same shall be directed to be made, and upon neglect
or refusal to pay the amount so assessed and expended the
Commissioners may recover the same of said owners by an
action of debt or assumpsit and the sum or sums so assessed
against the abutting property for such improvements shall be a
lien thereon from the completion of said work until paid.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of June, 1916.

AN ACT to define and enlarge the limits of the Town of Blad-
ensburg and to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
42 of Chapter 366 of the Acts of 1912.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 42 of Chapter 366 of the Acts of 1912
