the Acts of 1892, as amended by Chapter 245 of the Acts
of 1902 and codified as Sections 306, 307, 308, 309, 310,
311, 312, 313, 314, and 315 of Article 27 of the Code of
Public General Laws of 1904, title "Crimes and Punish-
ments, " sub-title "Mineral Waters, Porter and Other Bever-
ages, " as amended by Chapter 47 of the Acts of 1906, as
amended by Chapter 368 of the Acts of 1908 and codified
as Sections 331, 332, 333, 334, 335, 336, 337, 338, 339,
340 and 341 of Article 27 of the Code of Public General
Laws of 1914, and to re-enact with amendments Sections
331, 332, 333, 335, 336, 337, 338 and 340 thereof, and to
add three new Sections thereto, the first to follow Section
331 as re-enacted, and to be known as Section 331-A; the
second to follow Section 333 as re-enacted, and to be known
as Section 334; and the third to follow Section 338 as re-
enacted, and to be known as Section 339 of said Article.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Chapter 491 of the Acts of 1882, entitled "An
Act to protect the property of manufacturers, bottlers and
dealers in mineral waters, porter and other beverages from the
loss of their founts, kegs, bottles and boxes, " and known as
Sections 201, 202, 203, 204, 205, 206 and 207 of Article 27
of the Code of Public General Laws of 1888, title "Crimes
and Punishments, " sub-title "Mineral Waters, Porter and
Other Beverages, " as amended by Chapter 262 of the Acts of
1892, as amended by Chapter 245 of the Acts of 1902 and
codified as Sections 306/307, 308, 309, 310, 311, 312, 313,
314 and 315 of Article 27 of the Code of Public General Laws
of 1904, title "Crimes and Punishments, " sub-title "Mineral
Waters, Porter and Other Beverages, " as amended by Chapter
47 of the Acts of 1906, as amended by Chapter 368 of the
Acts of 1908, and codified as Sections 331, 332, 333, 334, 335,
336, 337, 338, 339, 340 and 341 of Article 27 of the Code of
Public General Laws of 1914 are hereby "repealed, and that.
Sections 331, 332, 333, 335, 336, 337, 338 and 340 are hereby
re-enacted with amendments, and that three new Sections are
hereby enacted, all to be known as the "Returnable Container
Act, " so that the same may read as follows:

Section 331. Any and all persons, partnerships or bodies
corporate owning returnable containers, or dealing in any
commodities handled or delivered in returnable containers,
which said containers bear security affixed or attached thereto,
or impressed or imprinted thereon, in any manner whatsoever.
