990 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

any character, to any person, who is a minor or infant under
the age of fourteen years.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That any person or per-
sons or corporations, whether the same be a licensed dealer or
not, violating the provisions of this Act, shall on conviction
thereof, pay a fine of not less than ten dollars ($10), and not
more than one hundred dollars ($100), together with the cost of
prosecution, and upon the failure to pay said fines and costs,
shall be committed to the County Jail until said fine and costs
are paid, but not to exceed a period, of sixty days.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 13th, 1914.

CHAPTER 590.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Mutual Fire Insurance
Company in Harford County to insure property against loss
or damage by hurricane, windstorm or cyclone.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Mutual Fire Insurance Company in Harford
County, a corporation incorporated under the laws of the State
of Maryland, be and its is hereby authorized and empowered to
make insurance on any kind of property against loss and dam-
age by hurricane, windstorm or cyclone.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take ecect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 13th, 1934.

CHAPTER 591.

AN ACT to increase the salaries of the School Teachers of Fred-
erick County, Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the following Sections be added to the Public Local
Laws of Frederick County, pertaining to schools.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That, beginning with the scholas-
tic year 1914-1915, all the school teachers who shall have been
engaged in teaching for three years in the schools of Frederick
