be paid one year from date thereof, the next two, two years
from date thereof, and in similar order until all of said bonds
become due; the said Commissioners shall pay the interest and
principal of said bonds as aforesaid out of the annual taxes
levied for corporate purposes; that the said bonds shall be sold
to the highest bidder or bidders for cash by the said Commis-
sioners, which said bonds shall be exempt from county and
municipal taxation in Dorchester County. The money arising
from the sale of said bonds, or so much thereof as may be neces-
sary, shall be expended by said Commissioners in securing an
ample supply of water for all town purposes and for the use
of its citizens, by sinking or having sunk artesian wells and the
construction of or having constructed such standpipe or stand-
pipes, reservoir or reservoirs, pipes, under ground or over
ground in the streets or elsewhere, hydrants and all other neces-
sary structures and appliances necessary to the construction
of waterworks sufficient and ample for the needs of said town
and its citizens and for the purchase of all land, appliances and
machinery necessary for said waterworks; and for the use of
which water the said Commissioners may charge all users a rea-
sonable amount in proportion to the service rendered; and the
said Commissioners are hereby authorized and directed to levy
annually upon all property taxable in the said town of East
New Market, as soon as said waterworks are contracted for, a
tax, in addition to those already allowed by law, of ten cents on
the one hundred dollars, which tax shall be set apart for the
purpose of maintaining said waterworks and paying the inter-
est and principal of said bonds.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 589.

AN ACT to prohibit the sale, within the limits of Cecil County,
of ammunition of any sort for use in firearms.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That from and after the passage of this Act, it shall not
be lawful for any person or persons, or for any corporation,
whether the same be a licensed dealer or otherwise, to sell, bar-
ter, exchange or give away any cartridge, cartridges or ammu-
nition of any sort, which may, or can be used in firearms of
