persons, to bring, take or direct any person or persons contem-
plating matrimony to said Minister of the Gospel or other per-
son so authorized to perform said rite or ceremony. Any per-
son or persons violating the provisions of this Section shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof
before any Justice of the Peace in Garrett County, or before the
Circuit Court thereof, shall be fined not less than ten dollars nor
more than fifty dollars and costs of prosecution, and to be com-
mitted to jail until said fine and costs are paid.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 581.

AN ACT to refund to James King and Sons, of Baltimore City,
the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00), paid to
the Treasurer of Maryland as a bonus tax.

WHEREAS, James King and Sons having paid to the State
Treasurer of Maryland the sum of two hundred and fifty
($250.00) dollars as a bonus tax, and said body corporate having
never exercised any of its franchise rights under its charter;
therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Comptroller is hereby directed to issue his war-
rant upon the Treasurer, payable to James King & Sons for the
sum of Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($250.00), said amount
being the bonus tax paid by the said James King & Sons to the
Treasurer of Maryland, and said body corporate having never
exercised any of its franchise rights under its charter.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 13th, 1914.

CHAPTER 582.

AN ACT to add an additional Section to Article 11 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Frederick County,''
sub-title "County Commissioners," to be known as Section
