said Citizens' Committee, subject to the approval of the.Board
of County Commissioners, to acquire, by purchase, condem-
nation or otherwise property for sewerage disposal purposes
and to assess the cost against the property using the same;
also for the authorization to hold meetings of the resident
registered and qualified voters to request the special levy and
to elect the Chevy Chase Citizens' Committee to serve as suc-
cessors to the Committee named in said Act; also to repeal
Chapter 383 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, 1910, authorizing special levies for said village of Chevy
Chase, in so far as the same may apply to Section 3 thereof.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That for the purposes of this Act, Section 3 of the Village
of Chevy Chase, of Montgomery County, Maryland, as herein-
after described, shall constitute a special tax area or district,
and shall be deemed and taken to comprise certain parcels of
land, namely:

Boundaries.

The sub-division in said Montgomery County made by the
Chevy Chase Land Company of Montgomery County, and
known as Section 3, as per plat recorded among the Land Rec-
ords of said Montgomery County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the Board of County
Commissioners of Montgomery County are authorized, empow-
ered and directed to levy and cause to be collected from the
property owners at the time of the County Tax Levy for the
year 1914 and each succeeding year within said described area
of Chevy Chase as named or created by this Act, amounts to
be fixed by them not less than twenty (20) cents nor more than
fifty (50) cents on each one hundred (100) dollars worth of"
the assessable property in the said part of the village of Chevy
Chase, Montgomery County, to be collected, as all other county
taxes in said County are collected; to be paid over by the said
Board of County Commissioners to the Treasurer of said Sec-
tion 3 of Chevy Chase to be selected from among their number
by a majority of the members of the Chevy Chase Citizens' Com-
mittee, of said Section 3 herein named, or by their successors to
be selected as herein provided. Upon said Treasurer having
been duly selected by such Committee and giving bond to said
Board of County Commissioners, to be approved by the Judge
of the Circuit Court for Montgomery County in a penal sum
to be fixed by said Judge, conditioned upon the faithful dis-
