druggists," and did have issued to them by the said Clerk the
said license in accordance with Article Four of the Code of
Public Local Laws, titled "City of Baltimore," sub-title
"Liquors and Intoxicating Drinks," as amended by the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland of 1890, 1892, 1894, 1896,
and Chapter 196 of the Acts of 1908. That of said sum in ac-
cordance with the provisions of the said Acts, one-fourth of the
said monies paid for the said license was paid to the Treasurer
of the State of Maryland, and three-fourths thereof was paid to
the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore City; and,

WHEREAS, Subsequently thereto Lawrence J. McCormick and
Herman L. Buschman were appointed receivers for the said
firm of Shea & McGuire by the Circuit Court of Baltimore City
in a proceeding entitled "Luke P. McGuire vs. John M. Shea,"
and did in accordance with an order passed by the said Court,
close up and sell out the said liquor business conducted by the
said firm, at No. 506 N. Gay Street, oh the 11th day of August,
1913, and since the said 11th day of August, 1913, the license
above mentioned has not been used and no sales under it have
been made; and,

WHEREAS, The refunding of the pro rata amount of the liquor
license fee paid by the said firm from the first day of Septem-
ber, 1913, to the 30th day of April, 1914, has been recommended
by the Comptroller of the Treasury.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the proportionate parts of said license from the first
day of September, 1913, to the 30th day of April, 1914, be re-
funded to the said Lawrence J. McCormick and Herman L.
Buschman, receivers for the firm of Shea & McGuire, and the
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore City are hereby author-
ized and directed to refund and pay to the said Lawrence J.
McCormick and Herman L. Buschman, receivers for the firm
of Shea & McGuire, the sum of Four Hundred and ninety-five
dollars ($495.00), being the proportionate part from
September 1st, 1913, to April 30th, 1914, of three-fourths
of the money paid by the said firm of Shea & McGuire for the
said license and received by the Mayor and City Council of
Baltimore City, Maryland, and that upon the warrant of the
Comptroller, the Treasurer of Maryland is hereby authorized
and directed to refund and pay to the said Lawrence J.
McCormick and Herman L. Buschman, Receivers for the firm
of Shea & McGuire, the sum of One Hundred and sixty-five
dollars ($165.00), one-fourth of the money paid by the said
