SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new Section is hereby added to Article 4 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "City of Balti-
more," sub-title "Charter," to follow Section 36-A and. to be
designated 36-B, and to read as follows:

36-B. All purchases of property, and other contracts in-
volving an expenditure of more than five hundred dollars, ex-
cept those awarded by the Board of Awards under Section 15
of the Charter, made by any department, sub-department, mu-
nicipal officer, special commission or board, in addition to com-
pliance with the other provisions of the Charter, shall be sub-
mitted to the Board of Estimates for its approval and shall be
binding upon the city only when so approved.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 540.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Chapter 774 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, Session of
1912, entitled "An Act to require any person or persons re-
siding in Wicomico County, to take out a license before en-
gaging in the catching of crabs with trot lines in the waters
of said County, providing for the issuance of said license, the
receipts thereof to, be applied to the support of the public
schools of said County; to prohibit other than residents of said
Wicomico County from catching any crabs with trot lines
therein; and providing penalties for any violation of the pro-
visions of this Act."

CHAPTER 541.

AN ACT to add a new Section to Article 33 of the Annotated
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title '' Elections,"
sub-title "Registrations," said new Section to be known as
Section 29-B, and to apply only to Caroline County.
