CHAPTER 520.
AN ACT to add a new Section to Article 4 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title '' City of Baltimore,'' sub-title
''House of Refuge and Reformation," said new Section to
follow immediately after Section 517-B of said Article 4 (Sec-
tion 517 having been re-enacted by the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1912, Chapter 332, Section 517-A,
having been added by the Acts of said General Assembly of
1908, Chapter 132, page 615, and Section 517-B having been
added by the Acts of said General Assembly of 1908, Chapter
499, page 616), said new Section to be known as Section 517-
C, and to authorize the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore
to make appropriation for repairs, permanent improvements
and additions to the buildings and grounds of the National
Junior Republic, and also to pay to the said National Junior
Republic certain sums appropriated by the Ordinance of
Estimates of Baltimore City for said purposes, for the years
of 1912 and 1913, subject to the ratification of the General
Assembly of Maryland, said sums aggregating $1,000.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new Section be added to Article 4 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "City of Baltimore," sub-
title '' Houses of Refuge and Reformation,'' said new Section to
follow immediately after Section 517-B of said Article 4 (Sec-
tion 517 having been re-enacted by the Acts of the General As-
sembly of Maryland of 1912, Chapter 332, Section 517-A having
been added by the Acts of said General Assembly of 1908, Chap-
ter 132, page 615, and Section 517-B having been added by the
Acts of the said General Assembly of 1908, Chapter 499, page
616), said new Section to be known as Section 517-C, and to
read as follows:
517-C. The Mayor and City Council of Baltimore are further
authorized and empowered to appropriate for repairs, perma-
nent'improvements and additions to the buildings and grounds
now used or hereafter to be used by the National Junior Re-
public, and its successors, such additional sum or sums of money
as in their judgment shall from time to time be required for
