SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That all elections held through
the medium of Voting Machines shall have the same validity in
law as elections held by means of paper ballots.
SEC. 3. Be it further enacted, That the Election Supervisors
of Baltimore City and the Election Supervisors of the respective
counties are hereby given the power and authority to determine
what precincts in said city and what precincts in the respective
counties shall be first equipped with Voting Machines, and said
Election Supervisors are hereby authorized to purchase from
time to time such machines as meet their approval and in such
number as they deem advisable, payment for said machines to
be made out of money appropriated for that purpose.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 514.
AN ACT to establish a "Threshers Lien" applicable to Frederick
County, said lien setting forth, who may have, procedure to
obtain, and priority of said lien.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That any owner or lessee of a threshing machine who
threshes grain for another therewith shall, upon filing the state-
ment provided for in the next Section, have a lien upon such
grain for the value of his services in threshing the same from
the date of the commencement of the threshing.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That any person entitled to a
lien under this Act shall, within ten days after the threshing
is completed, file in the office of the clerk of the court of the
county in which the grain was grown a statement in writing,
verified by oath, showing the amount and quantity of grain
threshed, the price agreed upon for threshing the same, the
name for whom the threshing was done and a description of the
land upon which the grain was grown. Unless the person
entitled to the lien shall file such statement within the time
aforesaid, he shall be deemed to have waived his right thereto.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That such lien shall have prior-
ity over all other liens and encumbrances upon such grain.
And the provisions of this Act shall apply only to Frederick
County.
