representation. Said application and declaration shall be signed
by the person, a member of the co-partnership, or a duly author-
zied officer of the corporation, applying as the case may be. If
any such license shall be issued for a portion of any year, a
ratable sum shall be charged therefor up to the first day of
May next succeeding the date of such application.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 13th, 1914.

CHAPTER 505.

AN ACT to amend and re-enact sub-section Seventh of Section
160 of Article 23 of the Code of 1904 of Public General Laws
of Maryland, entitled "Corporations," sub-title "Insurance
Department,'' providing for the suspension of the business and
the winding up of the affairs of insurance companies whose
affairs are conducted in violation of the provisions of said
Article.

CHAPTER 506.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact Section 371 of Article 3 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Baltimore
County," as repealed and re-enacted by the Acts of General
Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January Session of 1910,
Chapter 59, to provide for the attendance by females in the
evening schools in said County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 371 of Article 3 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "Baltimore County," as repealed and
re-enacted at the January Session of 1910, Chapter 59, be and
the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments to
read as follows:

371. The Board of School Commissioners of Baltimore
County are hereby authorized and empowered to provide and
to designate such school buildings as may be necessary as free
evening schools, and to further provide from the now existing
day schools or otherwise such teachers as may be requisite for
such free evening schools, and the students therein shall be
males or females of not less than fourteen years of age.
