718 LAWS OF MARYLAND.
WHEREAS, There is due and owing by the State of Maryland
unto G. W. Maddox the sum of five hundred and two dollars and
seventy-five cents for supplies furnished by him for the account
of the vessel "Bessie Jones," which vessel was under the con-
trol of the State Fishery Force; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Comptroller of the State be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to draw his warrant on the Treasurer
of the State for the sum of five hundred and two dollars and
seventy-five cents ($502.75) in favor of G. W. Maddox for
supplies furnished and paid for by him for the use of the
"Bessie Jones" from September 1, 1900, to September 20,
1908, a vessel being under the control anad direction of the
State Fishery Force.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 445.
AN ACT to add new Sections to be known respectively as Sections
11/2, 261/2, 271/2, 33i/2, 341/2 and 44V2, to Chapter 180 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of the year 1910,
entitled, '' An Act to create and establish a Public Service
Commission, and prescribing its powers and duties, and to
provide for the regulation and control of public service cor-
porations and public utilities, and making appropriations
therefor;" said new Section 1 1/2 which is intended, among
other things, to subject every municipal corporation of this
State engaged in the business of manufacturing and supply-
ing or of supplying gas or electricity for other than munici-
pal purposes to the provisions of said Act, to come immedi-
ately after Section 1 of said Act; said new Section 26 1/2 to
come in immediately after Section 26 of said Act, said new
Section 27 1/2 to come in immediately after Section 27 of said
Act, said new Section 33 1/2 to come in immediately after Sec-
tion 33 of said Act, said new Section 34 1/2 to come in imme-
diately after Section 34 of said Act, and said new Section
44 1/2 to come in immediately after Section 44 of said Act;
and also to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections 4
and 31 3/4 of said Chapter 180 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland of the year 1910.
