of the same shall be borne by said municipal corporation; pro-
vided that no bond or bonds shall be issued under the provisions
of this Act until the State Roads Commission shall determine
to extend the State Road through said Town of Centreville over
said Commerce Street and shall enter into a written agreement
with the said Town Commissioners of Centreville for the joint
improvement of said Commerce Street at the expense of the said
State Roads Commission and the said Town Commissioners of
Centreville, which said written agreement shall be duly recorded
among the record books of the said Town Commissioners of Cen-
treville in a book in which the ordinances of the said Town Com-
missioners of Centreville are recorded.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the Town Commissioners of
Centreville shall keep a full registry of the. bonds authorized
by this Act to be issued, with the name or names of the pur-
chasers thereof, the date of issue and the date of maturity of
each bond, the date of sale and the amount of each bond, and
when a bond is redeemed said bond shall at once be cancelled
on the face thereof, and entry of said cancellation shall be
made on said book of registry.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That for the purpose of redeem-
ing said bonds at their maturity, and for securing the prompt
payment of the interest thereon, the Town Commissioners of
Centreville shall levy annually a special tax on each one hun-
dred dollars of the assessed value of all property, real and per-
sonal, in the corporate limits of the said Town of Centreville,
subject to taxation, in addition to the other taxes now author-
ized to be levied and collected by the Town Commissioners of
Centreville, such sums of money as shall be necessary to pay
the annual interest on said bonds and to redeem each year one
of said bonds; said special tax shall be known as the '' Commerce
Street Improvement Tax,'' and shall be levied at the same time,
and shall become due and in arrear at the same time, and shall
bear interest from the same date, and shall be liens on all the
property of the person or corporation assessed by said corpora-
tion, and shall be collected in the same manner as the other
taxes now authorized to be levied, assessed and collected by the
Town Commissioners of Centreville. The proceeds of said spe-
cial tax shall be kept separate from the other funds of said
corporation, and shall be used for the payment of the interest
on said bonds and the payment of said bonds, and for no other
purpose whatsoever.
