680 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 10th, 1914.

CHAPTER 428.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to defray the expense
incurred in the publication of the Governor's proclamation
setting forth the provisions of the proposed amendments to
the Constitution of the State which were authorized to be
submitted to the voters at the election of 1913, said publica-
tion being required by the Constitution of the State.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be, and he is hereby
authorized and directed to draw his warrant upon the Treas-
urer of Maryland for the following sums in payment of said
publication, and the sum of twenty thousand six hundred and
twenty-three dollars and ten cents ($20,623.10) is hereby ap-
propriated from any money in the treasury, not otherwise ap-
propriated for the payment of said sums:

To the Daily News, Cumberland, for.................$300.00

To the Times, Cumberland, for...................... 300.00

To the Advertiser-Republican, Annapolis, for......... 300.00

To the Evening Capital, Annapolis, for.............. 300.00

To the Union News, Towson, for.................... 300.00

To the Democrat and Journal, Towson, for........... 300.00

To the Jeffersonian, Towson, for.................... 300.00

To the Calvert Gazette, Prince Frederick, for........ 300.00

To the Calvert Journal, Prince Frederick, for........ 300.00

To the American Union, Denton, for................ 300.00
