SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Forest Oak Cemetery Association of Gaithersburg,
Montgomery County, Maryland, be authorized to sell all unused
burial lots or the unused portion thereof of lots in which there
have been interments, and on which the taxes for the care and
maintenance thereof and legally assessed against said lots, have
not been paid by the owner or owners of said lots for three
consecutive years, at public or private sale, after a written
thirty days' notice to the owner or owners of said lots, if the
address of said owner or owners is known, and in case of non-
residents of this State, a notice posted in two most public places
in the Town of Gaithersburg, Maryland, shall be sufficient, and
the proceeds arising from such sale shall be used by said Asso-
ciation for the care and maintenance of the unsold portion of
said lots, where there have been any interments made therein,
and in cases where the whole lot is sold for said taxes in arrears,
then the proceeds of said sale shall be turned into the Treasury
of said Association for general expenses for caring and main-
taining said Cemetery.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 409.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 99 of
Article 83 of the Code of Public General Laws, titles, "Sales
and Notices," as enacted by Chapter 451 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland of 1912.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 99 of Article 83 of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, title, "Sales and Notices," as enacted by Chapter
451 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1912,
be repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
99. That after having received from the vendor the written
statement under oath mentioned in Section 98, the vendee shall
at least five days before the consummation of the bargain or
purchase and at least five days before paying or delivering to
the vendor any part of the purchase price or consideration there-
of, or any promissory note, or other evidence of indebtedness for
the same in good faith, notify or cause to be notified personally,
