CHAPTER 380.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to compensate William
H. Emory, Jr., and James S. Nussear, Jr., for their services
in preparing for the Lunacy Commission preliminary plans
and drawings and preliminary estimates for a Negro Insane
Hospital under Section 2 of Article 59, of the Code of Public
General Laws of the Year 1911, as enacted by Chapter 435 of
the Acts of 1908.

CHAPTER 381.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 377 of
Article 3 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Baltimore County," sub-title "Sheriff," as repealed and
re-enacted by Chapter 495, of the Acts of 1908.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 377 of Article 3 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "Baltimore County,'' sub-title
"Sheriff," as repealed and re-enacted by Chapter 495 of the
Acts of 1908, be repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

377. The Sheriff of Baltimore County shall receive an an-
nual salary of Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000), to be paid to
him in monthly installments of Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars,
($250), by the County Commissioners of Baltimore County;
and he shall be allowed the sum of Fifty-five Hundred Dollars
($5,500), annually to be paid to him by the said County Com-
missioners in monthly installments for the expenses of his office,
including Clerk and the necessary deputies to assist him in the
discharge of his duties, and he shall be allowed the further sum
of Three Hundred Dollars ($300) annually, for transferring
prisoners to and from penal institutions and places of confine-
ment in the State of Maryland.

He shall collect all fees and charges to which he may be
entitled by law, and exercise all powers conferred upon him
by law to enforce the collection of the same, and shall at the
end of each month during his term of office make a sworn re-
port of same to the County Commissioners of Baltimore County
in such form as said Commissioners may direct, and pay over
the same to the Treasurer of Baltimore County upon the order
