years of age. The amounts received by the Justices of the
Peace for the issuance of said licenses, except their fee of fifteen
cents in each case, shall be paid over by them to the Chief Game
Warden of Harford County, whose appointment and qualifica-
tions are hereinafter provided for in this Act. Any person vio-
lating any of the provisions of this Section shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof before any
Justice of the Peace of said County shall be fined ten dollars
and costs for each and every offense or violation of the provi-
sions of this Section, and an additional fine of five dollars for
each and every partridge, jack snipe, rabbit, jack-rabbit, quail,
squirrel, woodcock, reed-bird, rail-bird, blackbird, sora, wild
duck, wild goose or swan taken, shot or killed, contrary to the
provisions of this Section; and in default of payment of said
fine or fines and costs, the offender or offenders, shall be con-
fined in the House of Correction or County Jail for a period of
not less than ten days nor more than thirty days, or until the
fine and costs are paid; and every such licensee shall have said
license in his possession at all times when gunning, hunting,
pursuing, catching, killing or shooting said birds and animals,
and shall exhibit the same whenever called upon so to do by any
game warden, deputy game warden, the chief game warden of
Harford County, sheriff, deputy sheriff, constable, police officer
of said County, or any owner, tenant or lessee of property on
which the licensee is gunning, hunting or pursuing the said birds
or animals at the time the demand is made; and upon refusal
to so exhibit such license such person so refusing shall be sub-
jected to the fines and penalties hereinbefore provided for non-
compliance or violation of the provisions of this Section. Noth-
ing in this Section, however, is intended to prohibit or prevent
any resident, owner or owners of land or real estate in Harford
County or any bona fide resident, renter, lessee or tenant of
said real estate, or the sons of any such owner, lessee or tenant
residing with their parents, from gunning, hunting, catching,
killing, pursuing or shooting, during the open season, the birds
and animals named in this Section upon land or real estate
owned, leased or rented by said person or persons.
Any license found in the possession of any one other than the
person to whom it was lawfully issued shall be forthwith for-
feited and cancelled, and the Justice of the Peace by whom said
license was issued shall enter such license cancelled in his license
book, hereinafter provided for in this Act, when requested by
the Chief Game Warden so to do.
