SEC. 2. B e it enacted, That the boundaries of the new Elec-
tion District shall be the same as the present boundaries of
Precinct number three of Election District number ten, or
Straits.
SEC. 3. Be it enacted, That the Election Supervisors of
Dorchester County shall provide poll books, such as are now or
may hereafter be prescribed by law for the registration of voters
in each district for the said new District, and have transcribed
in the said books the names, together with all other matters
required by law, of all persons who are now qualified to vote
in the third precinct of Election District number ten, or Straits,
of Dorchester County.
SEC. 4. Be it enacted, That the Board of Supervisors of
Elections of Dorchester County in the year 1914, and annually
thereafter, at the usual time for appointing judges of election
and officers of registration, as is now, or may hereafter be pre-
scribed by law, shall appoint judges of election and officers of
registration for the said new District, and make all provisions
necessary for the holding of elections thereafter.
SEC. 5. Be it enacted, That the Governor of Maryland, at
the January Session, 1916, and every two years thereafter, shall
appoint one Justice of the Peace for the said new District; and
that the County Commissioners of Dorchester County in the
year 1914, and anually thereafter, at the usual time for making
such appointment, shall appoint one constable for said District;
the County Commissioners of Dorchester County in the year
1914, and annually thereafter, at the usual time for making such
appointment, as is provided by law, shall appoint a Collector
of Taxes for said new district. The County Commissioners
of Dorchester County shall provide for having the assessment
book which is now titled '' Precinct number three, District num-
ber ten," or "Straits," titled "District number eighteen, or
Elliott's Island."
SEC. 6. Be it enacted, That all laws, both General and Local,
which are now in force in the said Third Precinct of Election
District number ten, or Straits, shall be and remain in force
as they now are, or may hereafter be amended, so far as they
do not conflict with any of the provisions of this Act.
SEC. 7. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from
the date of its passage.
