nal side of said Court be filed in Court, it shall be the duty of
said stenographer to make such copy for the use of said Court
without extra charge, the cost of such original copy to be taxed
as part of the costs of the case, either or both sides to have the
right to obtain copies thereof at five cents per page. Provided,
however, that when such notes are taken on the equity side of
said Court, when testimony is taken orally in said Court, said
steongrapher shall be paid by the parties at whose instance said
testimony is taken ten cents per page for each original copy
furnished the Court and five cents per page for a carbon copy
thereof, the cost of such original copy to be taxed as part of the
costs of the case. And provided further that when day to day
copies be ordered by any parties to any suit of any part of the
testimony taken in said Court on either side thereof, said sten-
ographer may charge the parties ordering same, twenty cents
per page for each original and five cents per page for each carbon
copy thereof.

SEC. 52-D. And said Court is further authorized and em-
powered to appoint extra or additional stenographers, not ex-
ceeding two in number, who shall be sworn officers of said Court,
having the qualifications provided in Section 52-B of this Ar-
ticle, and who may be removed at the pleasure of said Court,
and who shall receive for each day. they shall be required by
said Court to attend said Court, for the taking of testimony and
judicial opinions in said Court, the sum of $10 per day, and
shall furnish copies and carbon copies of testimony and opinions
so taken in the same manner and at the same rates as provided
in Sections 52-B and 52-C of this Article.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 337.

AN ACT to repeal Section 45 of Article 52 of Bagby's Annotated
Code of the Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Justices
of the Peace," sub-title "Attachments," and to re-enact the
same with amendments, and to add an additional Section
thereto, to be designated as Section 49-A.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary
land, That Section 45 of Article 52 of Bagby's Annotated Code
of the Public General Laws of Maryland, title " Justices of the
