said Court shall set down said petition and proceedings there-
under for final hearing, and it shall then be determined by said
Court as to what persons are entitled to receive said surplus,
and when so decided said Court shall pass an order directing
said Sheriff or ex-Sheriff as the case may be to pay over said
surplus in accordance with the decision and finding of said
Court, and said Sheriff or ex-Sheriff shall not be held liable in
any respect for so doing ,and there shall be no appeal from the
decision of said Court in the premises.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 310.

AN ACT to authorize the Board of County School Commissioner
of Anne Arundel County to borrow money on the credit of
Anne Arundel County to erect and furnish an addition or ad-
ditions to the public school building in the village of Brook-
lyn, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, and to provide for the
heating the same.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That William S. Crisp, Chairman, Joseph W. Marshall,
James E. Hawkins, Charles J. Stoll and Robert Faring be and
they are hereby constituted a building committee for the pur-
pose of erecting and furnishing in said village of Brooklyn an
addition or additions to the said public school building, three
of whom shall constitute a quorum, and the concurrence of three
of them shall be necessary for the decision of all questions which
may arise in the discharge of their duties; and all vacancies
occurring in said building committee, whether from death, res-
ignation, refusal to act or otherwise, shall be filled by the Board
of County School Commissioners of Anne Arundel County.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said building committee
shall, as speedily as possible, procure and adopt a plan and speci-
fications for the erection of said addition or additions, and as
soon as said plan and specifications are determined upon said
building committee shall invite sealed proposals by advertise-
ment for a reasonable time for the construction and completion
of said work, which proposals shall be sent in sealed envelopes
in care of County School Superintendent of Anne Arundel
County, addressed to the chairman of said building committee,
