448 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAPTER 300.

AN ACT to repeal Section 6 of Chapter 296 of the Acts of 1888,
entitled "An, Act for the Incorporation of the Supreme Lodge
of the Shield of Honor of the United States," and to re-enact
the same with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 6 of Chapter 296 of the Acts of 1888, en-
titled "An Act for the Incorporation of the Supreme Lodge of
the Shield of Honor of the United States," be and the same is
hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

SECTION 6. And be it enacted, That said corporation may
hold its meetings in any State in the United States, and its
acts at such meetings shall have the same effect as if done in
this State, provided that the principal office of the said corpora-
tion shall at all times be in the City of Baltimore in this State;
and provided further that said corporation shall meet at least
once every two years.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 7th, 1914.

CHAPTER 301.

AN ACT to repeal Section 4 of Chapter 296 of the Acts of 1888,
entitled '' An Act for the Incorporation of the Supreme Lodge
of the Shield of Honor of the United States,'' as amended by
the Acts of 1896, Chapter 330, and to re-enact the same with
amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 4 of Chapter 296 of the Acts of 1888, en-
titled, "An Act for the incorporation of the Supreme Lodge
of the Shield of Honor of the United States," as amended by
the Acts of 1896, Chapter 330, be and the same is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That said corporation shall have
the power to adopt such by-laws, rules anad regulations as it
shall deem proper for the purpose of fraternal use and to
govern the payment of sick and death benefits and also for the
adjustment and settlement of the sick and death benefits and
membership status of those members who may, in the opinion
