SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 295.
AN ACT authorizing, empowering and directing the County
Commissioners of Dorchester County, in the State of Mary-
land, to issue coupon bonds to the amount of seven thousand
dollars ($7,000.00), for the purpose of rebuilding and repair-
ing bridges in the public roads and highways of said County
and particularly the bridge over a branch of the Warwick
River near the town of Secretary, where the branch of the
said river crosses the public highway leading from Secretary
toward Sunnyside, and to levy and collect taxes in said County
for the payment of the said bonds and interest.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Dorchester County,
in the State of Maryland, be and they are hereby authorized,
empowered and directed to, issue coupon bonds to the amount
of seven thousand dollars ($7,000.00), for the purpose of re-
building and repairing certain bridges in the public highways
of said County, and particularly the bridge in the public high-
way leading from Secretary toward Sunnyside and where the
said highway crosses a branch of the Warwick River near the
said town of Secretary, which said bridge shall be rebuilt and
repaired within one year from the date of the approval by the
Governor of this Act of the General Assembly; so as to make
said bridge a safe passage for the public and shall he of a per-
manent character, the said rebuilding and repairing shall be
done under the supervision and direction of the County Road
Engineer for Dorchester County, provided the total cost of
rebuilding and repairing the said bridge shall not exceed the
said sum of seven thousand dollars, and any surplus remaining
from said sum after the rebuilding and repairing of the said
bridge, shall be applied by the County Commissioners of said
County to the repairing and rebuilding of such other bridges
in the public highways of the said County as the yaid County
Commissioners shall designate.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said County Commission-
ers be and they are hereby authorized, empowered and directed
to isssue said bonds in the denomination hereinafter provided; the
