voters of the town of Hagerstown at some regular election for the
election of Councilmen of said town; and before any such ordi-
nance shall be submitted to the qualified voters of the said town,
at least two weeks' public notice shall be given by publication in
one or more newspapers of the said town, of an intention to
submit said ordinance to the qualified voters of the said town,
and said notice shall set forth the ordinance in full and the
mode and manner of payment proposed; and no ordinance for
the purchase of real estate to be used for park purposes shall
be of any force or validity until it shall receive a majority of
all the votes cast at such election.
SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 287.
AN ACT to authorize and provide for the general index of the
Judgment Records of Allegany County from the year Nineteen
Hundred to the year Nineteen Hundred and Fifteen, accord-
ing to the most approved modern system in vogue.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Allegany County,
Maryland, be and he is hereby authorized to make a general
index of the Judgment Records of said County from the year
Nineteen Hundred to the year Nineteen Hundred and Fifteen,
according to the most approved system now in vogue, of which
said Clerk shall be the judge.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of Allegany County be and they are hereby author-
ized and required to levy upon the assessable property of said
County, as other County's charges are levied, a sufficient sum
to pay for said indexing.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
