422 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

now laid out and established on the west side of said summit
of Backbone Mountain, and on the west of the Mountain from
the lines of election districts to the State Line, then southerly
with the State Line to the Potomac River, and thence down said
Potomac River to the mouth of Laurel Run below the town
of Dobbin, then up said Laurel Run and the north prong of
said run to its source, thence by a due north line to the summit
of the Backbone Mountain and with the summit of said moun-
tain to the line of election district number seven.

The voting or polling place for the said first precinct shall
be at the Hoye place, the former polling place for said district,
and the voting or polling place for the second precinct shall be
at the Red House.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the voters, now residing in
the first precinct of said eighth election district, shall obtain
a transfer from the first to the second precinct in manner and
form as now provided by law.

SEC. 3. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 283.

AN ACT to authorize and empower R. Ward Mills to construct
on the west side of his property in Streights Election District
of Dorchester County a wharf extending into Tedious Creek,
said creek being a branch of Fishing Bay.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That R. Ward Mills, of Streights Election District of Dor-
chester County, be and he is hereby authorized and empowered
to construct and erect a wharf, at and adjoining the lands of the
said R. Ward Mills on the West side of his property situated,
lying and being in Streights Election District of Dorchester
County, said wharf to extend into Tedious Creek for a distance
not exceeding two hundred yards to be of a width not greater
than fifty feet, provided that such wharf shall be constructed
and erected on or before the first day of January A. D., 1916.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said wharf when so con-
structed and erected shall be the property of the said R. Ward
Mills, his heirs and assigns, forever.
