Instrument shall be prima facie evidence of intent to cheat or
defraud;" provided that if such person shall deposit with the
drawee of such paper within ten days thereafter funds sufficient
to meet the same, with all costs and interest which may have ac-
crued, he shall not be prosecuted under this Section, and no
prosecution either by presentment, indictment or otherwise,
shall be instituted or commenced until after the expiration of
said period of ten days.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 10th, 1914.

CHAPTER 282.

AN ACT to amend Section 1 of Chapter 481 of the Act of 1912,
entitled An Act to Divide Election District Number 8 of Gar-
rett County into two Precincts by striking out Section 1 and
re-enacting the same with amendments and providing for the
transfer of voters.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 1 of Chapter 481 of the Act of 1912 entitled
"An Act to Divide Election District Number 8 of Garrett
County into two Precincts" is hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments to read as follows:

1. Election district number eight of Garrett County be,
and the same is hereby divided into two voting precincts, to be
known, respectively, as the "first" and "second" election pre-
cincts of .the eighth election district of said Garrett County.
The division line between the said precincts shall be as follows:
The first precinct shall be the territory within the following
outlines, to-wit:

All that part of said election district number eight, as now
laid out and established, east of the summit of Backbone Moun-
tain, and east of the top of the Mountain from the line of dis-
trict number seven on the north to Laurel Run, and the north
prong of said Run from its mouth below the town of Dobbin
up said Run and the north prong of said Run to its source, then
by a due north line to the summit of Backbone Mountain and
thence northerly along said summit to the line of district num-
ber seven.

The second precinct shall be the territory of said district, as
