in the Circuit Court for such County condemnation proceedings
in behalf of the State of Maryland against the said lessees or
those claiming under them, and to conduct said proceedings to
a finality in accordance with the provisions of said statute, and
the respective Circuit Courts for the Counties in which or near-
est to which the areas so condemned are located are hereby
vested with full power to hear and decide such cases, with right
of appeal to the parties as provided by said statute. But no
such right, interest or property shall be divested until the com-
pensation awarded in such condemnation proceedings to the
lessees or those claiming under them has first been paid to them
by the State of Maryland.
SEC. III. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage, and that all Acts or portions of
Acts inconsistent herewith, shall be and the same are hereby re-
pealed.

CHAPTER 266.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 7 of
Chapter 412 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland,
passed at the January Session of 1910, entitled "An Act to
repeal Sections 4, 7, 8 and 9 of Chapter 289 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland passed at the January
Session of 1908, entitled an Act to provide for the franchise of
waterworks for the town of Chestertown, in Kent County,
Maryland, and to authorize the appointment of a Water Board
for conducting, carrying on and maintaining same, and to
issue bonds to pay therefor and to levy an annual tax for the
payment of such bond and the interest thereon.''
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 7 of Chapter 412 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January Session of 1910,
be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments to read as follows:
SEC. 7. That on the fourth Monday in April, 1915, at a
regular election for a Commissioner of Chestertown, the duly
qualified voters of Chestertown entitled to vote for Commis-
sioners thereof, shall elect by ballot a Water Board which shall
consist of three persons, each of whom shall have the same
