CHAPTER 254.
AN ACT to add an additional Section to Article 17 of the
Annotated Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title
'' Clerks of Courts,'' to follow Section 24 and to be designated
"Section 24-A," providing for the registering, recording,
docketing and indexing of all judgmnts and decrees of the
Courts of the United States.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new Section is hereby added to Article 17 of the
Annotated Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title
"Clerks of Courts," to follow immediately after Section 24
and to be designated Section 24-A, and to read as follows:
SEC. 24-A. The Clerks of the several Circuit Courts for the
Counties and the Clerk of the Superior Court of Baltimore
City, shall in well-bound books to be by them provided, register,
record, docket and index all judgments and decrees of the
Courts of the United States, in the same manner and at like
charges as judgments and decrees of the State Courts are by
them registered, recorded, docketed and indexed, and if any
such Clerk shall neglect or refuse to make such record he shall
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall forfeit and pay
the sum of one hundred dollars for the use of the State.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 255.
AN ACT authorizing and empowering the Burgess and Commis-
sioners of Williamsport, in Washington County, Maryland, to
contract for and purchase a supply of water for said corpora-
tion, provided at the special election to be held in the Town of
Williamsport on the first Monday in June, A. D., 1914, as
provided for by an Act of the General Assembly of Maryland,
passed at its present session, the legal and qualified voters
of Williamsport shall vote against the issue of bonds for the
construction and maintenance of water works and an electric
light, heat and power plant for said town of Williamsport.
WHEREAS, By an Act of the General Assembly of Maryland,
passed at its present session, the Burgess and Commissioners of
Williamsport, in Washington County, Maryland, were author-
