of nine hundred and sixty-nine dollars and thirty cents, for
material furnished by them for the erection of the addition
of said school house at Hamilton, Baltimore County, Maryland.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the Comptroller
of the Treasury and the State Treasurer are further authorized
and directed to deduct said sum of nine hundred and sixty-nine
dollars and thirty cents from any monies now or hereafter
payable by the State of Maryland, which shall be apportioned
to Baltimore County and payable to either the Board of School
Commissioners of Baltimore County, or the County Commis-
sioners of Baltimore County, for school purposes, in accordance
with the law in such cases made and provided.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 1st, 1914.

CHAPTER 244.

AN ACT to amend Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title, '' Wicomico County,'' sub-title '' Justices of
the Peace and Constables,'' by adding a new Section to follow
Section 59, to be known as Section 59-A, fixing time and man-
ner of Justices of the Peace making returns of fines and
charges in Criminal Cases to the County Commissioners of
Wicomico County, and paying over fines and penalties re-
ceived by them, and penalty for not doing so.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Wicomico County," sub-title "Justices of the
Peace and Constables," be and the same is hereby amended,
by adding thereto a new Section, to follow Section 59, to be
Known as Section 59-A, fixing time and manner of Justices of
the Peace making returns of fines and charges, in criminal
cases to the County Commissioners of Wicomico County, and
paying over fines and penalties received by them and penalty
for not doing so.

SEC. 59-A. And be it enacted, That every Justice of the
Peace for Wicomico County, shall report to the County Com-
missioners of Wicomico County, on the first Monday of Janu-
ary, April, July and October, in each year hereafter, every
criminal case before him, giving in said report, name of crim-
